Allan Kyeyune .”I grew up in a family of 13 kids. It was a real struggle for my parents to pay for me school fees. Sending me repeatedly out of school to get school fees negatively affected my studies because I could often miss classes. I can really say it was by the grace of God that I completed my studies.
When I was growing up, many negative circumstances impacted my life to have a passion of giving a helping hand to children or young people who are struggling to be in school because of various reasons like no school tuition. I could imagine children without parents or children without anyone supporting them how they are being affected mentally and socially.
Losing 2 sisters plus their husbands due to HIV AIDS was a huge blow for me. My sister Sarah left 3 children and my sister Juliet left 3 children. The children were still very young when my sisters passed on and their husbands.
I saw how my parents, my big brothers and sisters contributed the small money they had to cater for these children’s education.
Right now 2 of my nieces for my late sister Sarah are serving with me in the ministry. One of them is Esther Nanyumba. She completed her degree in social sciences and she is such a great support to the community and she is also our music ministry leader. Another one is Winnie Nakibuuka. Winnie completed a degree in counseling and psychology. She is a counselor in the ministry. She counsels children and young adults in schools”.
I believe together we can make a difference in the children lives and lives of young people. Lets walk this journey together!
